I came out of my closet simply because from the Web. I always knew internally that I wasn’t straight but was never comfortably able to share the details of my orientation with other people. As a shy person, I didn’t exactly go up to individuals or speak to other people using the intent of share my secret. I would go towards the bars and clubs created for gay clientele but even there, my shyness prevented me from making numerous contacts. It wasn’t until the mid 1990s and the rise from the Web that I was able to freely share and arrive out of my closet.

The globe has changed drastically within the past 15 years. Thinking back to when I very first entered a chat room devoted to gays, it allowed me to make friendships and feel a connection to my peers for the very first time in my life. Not just did it allow me to come out from the closet, but it also encouraged many other people to do so as well. This new capability to discover safe havens for like minded individuals without the fear of who would discover out made the procedure much easier. It allowed us to join with each other, assistance 1 another and form a neighborhood.

As the Web progressed, so did our method of creating a community. The chat rooms continue to thrive, but the most efficient way to develop a neighborhood today are via means of a social network. Writing a blog is one way of using this technology. Individuals have created blogs for all types of specific needs. It has proven efficient for bringing like-minded people with each other. I have attempted to begin some blogs on my own so I do have very first hand understanding of how effective this can be for a particular movement. It has been my experience that I am a much better participant instead of a leader in such environments. I’ve become involved with local causes that consist of bicycle rides to raise awareness for HIV prevention, gay marriage, and gay pride associations. All thanks to a blog. With the correct individual within the lead, these rapidly turn out to be effective and powerful indicates of affecting change.

Not only do these means of communication with each other bring people together, but it also presents a common public message that opens a discussion. It allows people with varying viewpoints to express their opinions and allows a chance to provide a rebuttal. There are times when regardless of what you say some people will continue to vehemently disagree with this sexual orientation but it provides greater understanding for the human condition. It provide the community members with more self confidence and acts a role model for younger people The struggle of sexual identity is difficult for everyone, especially teenagers. By having this public sign of support, they have opportunities to become self aware and reach out when they are in times of trouble.

Blogs that are devoted to a gay community generally start out small with one or a few passionate people committed to a cause. They’re dedicated to producing a difference in the world. With a little bit of courage, a computer, and some general understanding, these ordinary people have been able to create extraordinary changes in our society. With much more support for gay rights, same-sex marriage and HIV awareness it today’s society, all it took was somebody having a single idea.

How To Get Referrals From More People

Referral marketing is one of the simplest forms of generating new clients and customers. Working by word-of-mouth referrals not only reduces your marketing costs, but it fills your pipeline full of new referral opportunities. So what prevents others from sending referrals to you more often and frequently?

There are three issues with generating more referrals more often and more frequently.

1. The Referral Perspective Of The Other Person. Simply, most people look at referrals from a receiving perspective. They never look at it from the perspective of what the referring party must “give” or (give-up) in order to refer a person to you. In all instances, they are either giving away a portion of their relationship. This can be intimidating to someone, who may not understand how you will treat the referral they send your way. An important question you need to ask when wanting more referrals from people:

“Why should referring someone to me be important to you?”

2. Risk Association When Referring Someone. There’s always fear present. Fear that a person refers someone to you, and you mishandle the relationship. Fear of them not knowing what you will do with the referral source. Even fear that perhaps that new referred piece of business will enjoy their new relationship more than yours. But the biggest fear is this: That you could potential harm or mishandle the relationship, making the referral source look bad. Ask yourself this important question:

“How can I ensure when you refer a person to me, you won’t feel any risk.”

3. Making It As Easy As Possible to Refer. Quite frankly, we need to make it as easy as possible for others to “create buyers” for us and refer business to you. We don’t do this consistently. We want their referrals, but it amazes me how many referral sources do not fully understand the product and services we provide to others. You can make it as easy as possible to refer business to other people by simply involving them in your business world, and create opportunities that are fun to educate them. One of the best way of doing this with your referral sources is look for ways to involve them, and have them experience your work. Providing pro-bono services, volunteering or providing additional value-add to a person brings your work to real-life, and also brings it full fold. Ask yourself this important question:

“How can I make it more easier and simpler for my referral sources to refer business to me, by experiencing more of my work.”

Network Marketing: Why so Many People Fail

Financial Freedom. Wealth. Independence. If you have ever looked into Network Marketing you are sure to have heard these beautiful words and many more like them. Truth be told, these are not just empty promises. Network Marketing can and does give these things to those who succeed. But what about the others? Why do so many people who come in to the Network Marketing Industry leave it soon after with a bitter task in their mouth? Is there some formula one must follow in order to guarentee success? As with everything else in life, YES.

 

Following are things one should consider in order to achieve success in the network marketing world.

 

 First of all is your choice in network marketing companies. There are alot out there. So how do you choose? Well make sure the product is consumable as this will keep your customers coming back. The product should also stand out in the market as having something unique. Most important you have to be passionate about your product. I have a friend who works as an insurance agent. He is very good at what he does, so good in fact that he can sell meat to a vegeterian! But, although he is making lots of money, this guy is miserable. He has no passion for the product he sells. So what good is it to be wealthy if you do not enjoy what you do? Satisfaction. If you are passionate about the product, you will be satisfied when people buy it. Which brings us to the first principle in network marketing.

 

1. Become a product of the products.

If your company makes it, you should be using it. You cannot market a product if you have not tried it yourself! When you use a products and have seen the benefits of it, you will be more enthusiastic about it. People buy into your enthusiasim and when you share your first hand experience of the products they are more likely to be interested in what you have to sell.

 

2. Fall in love with Network Marketing.

What’s not to love? The concept of network marketing is such a simple one really. You are your own boss, you own your own schedule and you choose the people you want to work with. No one looking over your shoulder all the time, having the freedom to build a world wide business from the comfort of your own home, building a residual income for life. The benefits of network marketing are endless. You are in Business where ever you go. Love it, Live it.

 

3. Love people.

 As my friend Margie Aliprandi puts it, “No body cares how much you know, untill they know how much you care” True, you want to sell your product cause that is the way money is made, but that should not be your only concern. You should genuinely have people’s best interest in mind. Give them the best value for their money, put their needs first. When people she how much you care they will be around long term, whether they are customers or team members. As for the latter, love them, support them, but do not criple them. Do not do the work for them for they will never have the satisfation of having their own business that way. Give them space. Show them that you are available but let them build their business at their own pace.

 

4.Discision.

There is power in diciding. Do not just give an opportunity “a try”, dicide that you will do it and succeed in doing so. When you make a decission and stick to it you move into action and everything you need to succeed will move in harmony to achieve your goal. Commit to your goals. Have a vision. Dicide you will be a success story. It has been said many times that deciding is often the hardest part.

 

5. Daily Action.

Do something for your business everyday. Making a decision is fantastic, visualising is super, having goals is spectalcular, but unless you take action none of your goals are going to become reality. When I say action i mean consistant, effective action executed with a sense of urgency. Being consistant means doing something that will move you towards your goal everyday, like talking to people or being in contact with your team. To be effective in network marketing your actions must result in the recruiting of people and or the sale of product. Creating a sense of ugency is vital because your team will duplicate you, so if you tiptop with this business, so will they but if you create the sense that now is the best time for them to be building they will folow your example. Everybody has other obligations, but giving 1 or 2 hours daily, consistantly, to your network marketing business will give you lots of time freedom to do the things you love doing in a relatively short period of time compared with traditional businesses.

 

6. Be prepared to pay the price.

In network marketing you have to make a few sacrifices in the beginning to be able to reap the rewards later on. Some people are terrified of this word sacrifice. Let us look at it more closely. The meaning of sacrifice is giving up something of a lower nature for something of a higher nature. So you could sacrifice an lour of TV and substitute them with a conference call with your team or a follow up call with one of your prospects. This is also known as the rasor’s edge activity. Maybe you have made a call, given a presentation and all you need now is call the person up to get their decision, but something comes up and you get all caught up in things that have little or no importance. So the razor’s edge is that little extra step you need to make to get the results yoy are looking for. In comparasion to what you have already done it is such a little step that it might seem insignificant, but it is that little step that will take you over the edge. Find your razor’s edge. It could be waking up an hour earlier to check your emails or contact your team on the other side of the world before your family is awake. It could be watching less TV and attending an informative event about your company’s products. What ever it is, when you find it, your razor’s edge will get you far on your journey towards the frutation of your dreams.

 

7.Sowing and reaping.

Like everything else in life, building this sort of business has its seasons. You do not know when the season of reaping is, but you know when the season of sowing is. Everyday. You cannot expect to sow one seed and feed your whole family for eternity. Sow seeds consistantly and the harvest will come. You canot force sowing and reaping. You have to wait it out. You do not know when the reaping season will come but when it does, you will be so surprised with the abundant harvest you have that you will be wondering what you have done to diserve all this. Truth be told, you stuck to it, you were persistant. You would not have been succussful if you didn’t deserve it.

 

8. Persistance.

Persistance is key to success in Network Marketing! Ask any Network Marketing Millionaire what he did different to those people who left after only 2 weeks in the business. Staying. It is vital. No matter what people tell you, Network Marketing is NOT a get rich quick scheme. You have to put in the effort. Sure you will meet people who do not understand the concept, some will say yes, some will say no, some no will be yeses later on. So what? Do you really want the goals you have set for yourself? Are you really set on living the lifestyle of your dreams? Persist. Keep moving forward. It is a process. Build now to reap later. Your dream depends on it.

 

9. Personal Growth.

You are your best assist. Invest in yourself. Develop a passion for your growth. Recognise that you are a gift to the world. You are unique. Believe that you are diserving of the abundance that you seek. Strive to constantly become a better person. Make that your number one goal. You will be surprised at the impact your being a better person will have on your Business. When you are in harmony with yourself, people enjoy being around you. You will experience the phenomena of people actually calling you to be part of your team. Make it a point everyday to do something to improve yourself. Meditate, develop new skills, learn a new language, anything that will improve you. This is all essential for you to grow into the type of person who can lead and inspire large groups of people in your networking team.

 

10. Gratitude.

Be grateful for what you have in life. Grateful for opportunities, people you meet, people in your team, the product you market. Everything. You might not understand it yet,

but we are governed by laws that are Universal. These Law are in operation whether you know about them or not and whether you believe in them or not too. Basically, you attract into your life things and experiences which you constantly think about with feeling. Now one of the greatest feelings one can feel is the feeling of Gratitute. Being grateful sends out a positive vibration. Being thankful for what you have sends a signal to the Universe to provide you with more to be grateful for. So, the more grateful you are, the more you have. It pays to be grateful.

 

What it all boils down to is that successful people do everyday what unsuccessful people are unwilling to do.So start where you are and do what you know, with what you have and you will always know what to do next. New studies demonstrate the benefits of referral marketing. In his book The New Art and Science of Referral Marketing, Scott Degraffenreid explains how the science of social network analysis has been used to help companies effectively utilize referral marketing.

Recent advances in mathematics made possible by new computer technology now enable experts to precisely quantify the impact of referrals. In his book, Degraffenreid describes a research study on physicians’ referral patterns for a pharmaceutical company. In this example, millions of dollars had been spent marketing certain drugs, with very slow market penetration due to few peer endorsements, while others with minimal marketing exposure sold well because of high referral incidence, making them far more profitable. By testing behaviors in several different ways, results showed that the primary reason we make referrals is to enhance our standing with the people we refer. We want to look good!

He explains that because we’re bombarded daily with so many marketing messages, our brains have developed methods to filter these out. This, combined with rising costs, makes ‘traditional media’ a less effective way to communicate your message. People are the new media! Referral marketing is a viable, cost-effective alternative.

The Benefits of Referral Marketing

• Consumers today have developed cynicism and distrust of advertising messages. When considering a purchase, we’re now much more likely to ask a trusted friend or acquaintance for a recommendation.

• We listen to those we know and trust. When a friend of theirs has referred a potential client to you, a level of credibility and trust has already been established. They are more open to hear what you have to say.

• Most likely, the person referring someone has already described your service or product and you need to spend less time and energy educating them on the value you offer. These leads generally turn into sales much more quickly.

• Referral marketing is more profitable. To generate a steady stream of referrals will take effort but may cost little or nothing at all.

When a company’s printed materials, website and signage send a consistent message with similar text, graphics and colors, it conveys a solid, professional image. Ask for referrals! If you don’t ask, people may assume that you have all the clients you can handle.

Make a list of those you can ask for referrals, and keep in touch with them regularly to maintain top-of-the-mind awareness.

Make it Easy to Refer Your Services or Products

Educate and equip potential referrers with the tools they need. Keep it clear and simple. If telling someone about your services seems complicated, and there is a possibility they might appear foolish, they probably won’t refer you.

Be crystal clear about:

• Who your “ideal client” is

• The benefits and value of your product or service

• How to contact you

Follow up on referrals promptly, expressing your sincere thanks. If appropriate, include a gift as a token of appreciation. Always keep your referrer in the loop. Let him or her know what’s happening, even if it’s nothing and you’re still playing phone tag.

Create a form to track referral leads and measure the results and corresponding costs.

It takes time and thought to actively seek out and educate potential referrers, to help them look good by referring you, but the results can prove well worth the effort. Put your plan in place now, follow it faithfully and take advantage of this profitable marketing method!
